Law Firms — Nationwide

People call a lawyer once. If you don’t answer, the next firm does.

LinearZeta builds and runs a conversational AI receptionist for law firms. It answers every call, runs a consistent new-client intake, books consultations onto your calendar, and transfers anything substantive to your team — and it never gives legal advice.

Intake is won by whoever answers first.

  • Potential clients call several firms in a row — the first professional answer usually signs them.
  • Calls that matter most — after an accident, an arrest, a dispute — often come nights and weekends.
  • Paralegals get pulled off billable work to answer “do you handle this?” calls.
  • A message service takes a name. It can’t run intake or book the consultation.

What the agent handles.

One voice agent on your number, answering on the first ring — 24/7, in a natural voice.

Runs new-client intake

Collects the caller’s name, callback number, and matter type in a consistent, professional conversation — and emails your team instantly.

Books consultations

Offers real openings and books the consult while the caller is still on the line — no phone tag, no lost momentum.

Answers the basics about your firm

Practice areas, office hours, location, what to bring — answered only from information you’ve approved.

Transfers what needs a person

A caller in crisis, an existing client, or anything substantive goes straight to your team or on-call line, per rules you set.

Where it stops. On purpose.

For a law firm, what the agent won’t do matters more than what it will:

  • It never gives legal advice — not an opinion, not a prediction, not “what usually happens.” It intakes, books, and transfers.
  • It doesn’t negotiate or quote fees beyond the consultation information you publish.
  • It collects only what intake needs — name, number, matter type — and opens every call by disclosing it’s an AI and that the call may be recorded.
  • Anything sensitive or uncertain goes to your team, immediately.

These limits come from our Map → Build → Govern → Measure method — mapped with you before launch, tested before every change goes live.

Booking that fits how you already work.

On every plan, consultations book straight into your own Google Calendar — or onto a Cal.com calendar we set up for you, if you don't run one. Every intake lands in your callback list the moment the call ends, emailed to you and waiting in your dashboard. Standard adds a monthly tuning and review call.

Every plan includes caller memory, instant callback alerts, live emergency routing, and no setup fee — month-to-month, starting at $179. See full pricing →

Common questions.

Will it give callers legal advice?

No — that boundary is absolute. The agent runs intake, answers approved questions about your firm, books consultations, and transfers anything substantive to your team. It never offers opinions, predictions, or advice.

Where does the intake actually go?

Into your callback list the moment the call ends — the caller's name, number, matter type and a summary of what they said, emailed to you and waiting in your dashboard, where you can mark it contacted once you've called back. Consultations book straight into your own Google Calendar on any plan, or onto a Cal.com calendar we set up for you. If you want intake pushed into a specific case-management system, ask on the call audit and we'll tell you straight whether we support it yet.

How does it handle a caller in crisis?

It transfers. Any caller who is distressed, in an urgent situation, or asking for a person is routed straight to your team or on-call line using rules you define. The agent’s job is to make sure that call reaches a human — not to handle it.
